Dear Parents/Carers,
On Monday this week, we were pleased to welcome Reverand Hartley into school to conduct a Harvest Festival Assembly. The children enjoyed showing the Reverand all the food that has kindly been donated for the local food bank in Pontefract. Thank you to Reverand Hartley for taking the time to come and visit us and to all parents and carers who sent food in for this worthy cause.
This week, I have had the privilege of showing perspective new parents and carers around our school for September 2025. If you know of any parent or carer who is looking for a school place, please refer them to the school office to make a viewing appointment.
On Thursday, after school some children in Key Stage Two took part in this term’s PAT Cross Country event at The Kings School. I am really proud to share that Larks Hill came second in the event on points with Seb S (Y6) and Will A (Y5) winning their races. Well done to all who took part and to these boys for winning their races.

Head teacher Awards
This week, I have given three Headteachers Awards to Year 1 pupils – Molly M, Georgie D and Jenson BR. All three of these children have brought amazing home learning in to show me which is amazing. The pupils have completed facts about The British Isles and were so keen and eager to impress with their knowledge. What excellent work and such quality presentation! Well done to all these pupils!
We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone at our very first ‘Thrill on the Hill’ event next Thursday. If you haven’t already purchased your ticket, please contact the school office.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Adams
