Capturing Kids' Hearts - February
This month we will focus on the character trait of kindness. Kindness is the ability and willingness to express care and compassion for others. Kindness is a choice to use our time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, and service. Check out these newsletters to learn more about how you can talk about this important skill with your child: English version and Spanish version.
**INPUT NEEDED! It is also time to complete our mid-year data survey. Please take a few moments to share your feedback here.**

A Note from the Nurse
Parents, we need your help! Over the last few weeks, we have had students bring over the counter medicine or cough drops into school on their own. This is NOT allowed. Parents cannot send medication or cough drops like this with students. Any medication (cough drops, tylenol, etc.) has to be administered by the NURSE and have a FORM filled out in the health room. Please contact Nurse Robin at 355-6983.
Kids Heart Challenge
Our Kids Heart Challenge is happening now! February is National Heart Month and our students are focusing on the importance of heart health in PE. Our school goal is to have 100% of families learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR. It takes less than two minutes to learn, and can double or triple a person's chance of survival. See our website for details. This is our school's community service project for this month and we appreciate your support!
