College Park Band
Our marching band competed at Woodforest Stadium on Tuesday, October 22 at the Region 9 UIL Marching Contest. They received the highest rating possible from the three judges ("straight ones") and will move on to the Area contest next Saturday! The Area contest will is the final contest that will determine if we qualify for the State Marching Contest.
This is the 20th straight year that our College Park Marching Band has received straight ones at the Region UIL Marching Contest! We are so proud of our students and if you get a chance to congratulate them, I am sure they would love that!
College Park Tennis
It was a heartbreaker in Mansfield on Friday, October 18, 2024. I am very proud of all of our players. The team lost in the finals of regionals 9 to 10 on Friday.
As the UIL representative said when handing us the trophy, "This is one of those times where it's unfortunate anyone has to lose."
I am asking you to congratulate the tennis team when you see them this coming week. Please be understanding of their academics as they missed a lot of school due to UIL playoffs. All members of the varsity team will be available for makeup tests during 5th period throughout the next two weeks.
Go Cavs!
