IAR Testing is Coming Up
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will soon be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). Testing will begin the week of March 10th. Hereβs how you can support your student:
Ensure a good nightβs sleep before testing days.
Provide a healthy breakfast to help with focus and energy.
Encourage a positive mindset β remind your child to do their best and not stress!
Arrive on time so they feel settled and ready to go.

Help Us Reach 20% Parent Participation in the 5Essentials Survey!
Your feedback is incredibly important in shaping the future of Towanda Elementary. We need at least 20% parent participation in the 5Essentials Survey, and we're not there yet! The survey only takes a few minutes but makes a big impact.

To take the survey:
1. Visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/
2. Click on "Start here" under the Parent category
3. You may enter your email address but that is not required. It is completely optional.
4. Enter "McLean" for the County
5. Begin typing your child's school name and you should see it pop up. Click on the appropriate school.
