• End of 2nd Marking Period - The 2nd marking period ends on Tuesday, January 28th. Please make sure to have all work in and take advantage of the time and access to resources during I & E, Resource, and Open Study on Tuesdays and Thursdays if you need help. Please also consider signing up for peer tutoring and reach out to Mrs. Mandes with any questions.

• YEARBOOKS ON SALE - Ms. Demuro and the yearbook team have been working hard on the yearbook and you can purchase one now on My Payments Plus! Please get yours now - Parent Resources / My Payments Plus.

• 7th Grade Program Planning - This Tuesday is our 7th grade program planning assembly where we will review course offerings for next year. We will share this information with parents & guardians at our next Parent Council!

• PARENT COUNCIL - Thanks to Mr. Rit, Mr. C, Mrs. Wentz, and Mrs. Louderback for joining us this week at Parent Council! Please see the powerpoint and recording below for updates on athletics, music, student activities, school updates including Mrs. Louderback's presentation on 9th grade program planning - A LOT of good information and answers to many of the questions students and parents may have!

• GIRLS BASKETBALL - A shout out to Coach Barno & the girls varsity basketball team for its 2nd place finish in the League basketball tournament! It was a great year and only losses came to Holland MS.

• FLEXIBLE INSTRUCTION DAYS (FID) - Flexible Instructional Day (FID) / Home - Now that we have had our 1st snow day of the year all futures snow days will be in this format. Please take a moment to review as a family!

• COLONIAL CORES & EXPECTATIONS – It was a great first week with students as we reviewed basic overview of expectations, policies, and procedures and following up this week as noted above. We have created the Colonial Core page on our website for our community to access the overview of the Colonial Cores and what we teach and the expectations we have for students and all of us in a variety of settings. We will continue to model and revisit these throughout the year!

The second marking period ends on January 28th! We are encouraging students to check the Canvas calendar and Infinite Campus, and address any missing assignments with their teachers. 9th graders will have an opportunity on the 1/2 day of January 28th to attend the "work room" for additional time. 9th grade teachers are looking forward to starting the 2nd Semester!

Tuesday, 1/28 8th grade is having a breakfast and celebrating our English mystery genre with a movie. There is still time to sign up to bring a breakfast item through the Sign Up Genius sent by your child's Science teacher!

The second marking period ends on January 28th! We are encouraging students to submit all work on time and to prepare for assessments by studying, checking the Canvas calendar, and managing time wisely. It has been a great year so far and we look forward to the second half of 7th grade with our current group!

Next Thursday: First Community Town Hall on Future of Doyle, Kutz and Linden

Did you know there's a webpage on CBSD.org where you can get information on various community events and activities happening around Central Bucks? Flyers that used to go in backpacks or were sent home with students are being collected on the district's "e-Flyer Folder" webpage. Check it out now! Recent additions include information on a CB West baseball clinic; the Young Rembrandts after-school art club; the Shining Knights after-school chess club; and Bricks4kidz at many CBSD elementary schools.
