Hello RPI Families,

Thanks for taking the time to look at this week's newsletter. We will use this format for the rest of the year and feel it is a much better place to get information about our building. Please take a minute and look at the drop off change that will start tomorrow. We feel it will help keep our kids safer in the morning. This announcement has been made at school and Mrs. Whitaker and I will be out in the morning to remind kids!

If you or someone you know is interested in being a noon monitor for us, please feel free to contact me. Lunch and recess are a great time to connect with some REALLY COOL kids. If you love kids like we do and want to spend some time with them, join our team!

Lastly, we do have a half day this Friday, November 22. School is released at 10:55.

With the snow falling, we have become aware of the safety concerns with students being in the front of the building in the morning. So, starting tomorrow (Monday, November 18), when students are let off the bus, all 5th graders (and students who are getting breakfast) will report to door 2. All 6th graders, will report to door 5 (north side of the building, close to the Meijer Trail!)

1. Please remind students to bring coats, gloves, hats and boots to school as we will go outside during our lunch/recess time!
2. Please also remind them to wear bright-colored clothing and to stay off/out of the roads, if they are walking to and/or from school. We know that the new backpack lights will help, but being aware of our surroundings is the best way to stay safe! Watch where you are walking and stay on the lookout for cars!

Please click this link for some more information about the canned food drive we are sponsoring right now. Students are doing a great job of bringing in items.

This weeks emphasis will be boxed meals, canned food, canned vegetables.

All RPI parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend our Parent Connect Meetings. The next meeting is Thursday, December 12th, at 3:15pm in the student services office.
