Catlin Arts Sound-Off
March 1, 2024
From the Desk of Mr. Hottovy
Greetings Cougar Families,
Attendance matters a lot in elementary school. When you show up regularly, you get to learn new things every day and build your skills in subjects like art, music, reading and math. Being in class also means you get to participate in cool activities and discussions with your classmates. But it's not just about academics; regular attendance helps you develop important habits like being responsible and managing your time well. By coming to school every day, you're setting yourself up for success now and in the future.
This March, we are aiming for a "No Miss March". We are encouraging students and families to make it to school on time if your student is well and healthy. Between Spring Break (March 11-15) and Conferences (No School March 28-29) there are 14 days of school. It is our goal for students to be here and on time each one of those days. We understand that illness happens and sometimes kids need to stay home. But if your Cougar is feeling good, please make sure that they are here. Our students who miss 0 minutes of school during the month of March will get to prank the Principal's office on April Fool's Day!
Also, please be on the lookout for conference times coming home today. If your time does not work, please give us a call and we will reschedule.
