Weekly Update
November 22, 2024
From the Principal
Dear Aquin Families,
We are getting very close to Thanksgiving break! We even had a little snow this week. Being stuck inside has been a challenge for us this week with the rain and wet weather. Please remember to send snow boots, gloves, hats and coats to school when the weather is snowy and/or wet. We will continue to go outside as we are able unless it is under 10 degrees (with the wind chill).
As part of our Virtue of the Month program, we are doing a collection of items for the Ascension St. Joseph nursing home across the street. This month our virtue is Stewardship, so we are going to help some less fortunate residents with some goodies. Our items are listed below. Donations are due by Tuesday, November 26.
We are participating in the FHN Festival of Trees this year! Please go out and visit the festival and vote for our tree! You may even find a familiar face on an ornament. The festival runs Monday, November 25 – Monday, December 30 at the Freeport Public Library, 100 E. Douglas Street. A big thank you to Mrs. Stauffer for coordinating this fun event for Aquin!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp
