At the board meeting on December 10, the Board of Education voted to adjust the 2024-2025 school year calendar. The school year was originally scheduled to end on the Friday before Memorial Day. With the change, the school year will now end on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. This change was made due to two common comp days inadvertently being left off of the calendar when it was first approved. Winter Break is the 2nd greatest energy savings opportunity next to Summer Break. Please remember the following for December 20 – January 6, 2024:
- Turn off and unplug all electronics i.e., TVs, computers, sound systems, projectors, document cameras, DVD players, printers, copiers, holiday decorations, etc.
- Empty, unplug, and prop the door open of personal refrigerators
- If in a portable or office, set the thermostats to 55 degrees or unoccupied
- Close window blinds
- Remember to shut down all computer labs
- Do NOT shut off network switches or routers

- Healthy u – 20 points for each course up to 12 courses
- Volunteerism – 25 points for each time up to 4 times
- Monthly challenge – 50 points
- Insurance connection – watch all 6 videos for 50 points
