Good evening, Evergreen families!

We have had a great week here at Evergreen. Students have been working on developing their skills in reading and writing. This is an area we would like to team with you! We are sending students home with books so they may read every night at home! Please set aside some time to listen to your student read and ask them questions about their reading after every one to two pages. If your child has younger siblings, this can be some fun family time and build confidence as your child reads to their sibling.

We are preparing for conferences the week of October 21st. In your child’s Friday folder today, there is a sign-up sheet for you to complete and return to our school as soon as possible. We will have later time slots on Tuesday and Wednesday, but they do go fast so please send in your requests early!

Next Monday, October 7th, will be our PTSO meeting here at Evergreen Elementary starting at 5:15 pm. Please take time to come join us as we plan family engagement activities for our school!

Friday, October 11, is our first 3-hour early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. Please mark your calendars for this change in our schedule.

Current after school activities are soccer on Tuesday and Thursday. Choir is on Thursday.

Picture day will be on October 18! Information came home in Friday folders today!
