Thank you to those who attended our Open House evenings last week! We hope you enjoyed seeing your child's class and learning about what they do in school everyday!

Join us Tuesday, September 3 for our first basketball home games! JV Boys will take on St. Patrick's at 4:30 PM, and our Varsity girls (5:30 PM) and boys (6:30 PM) teams will play Sacred Heart. Wear your PCA spirit wear to the game to show your support for our Blue Angels!

Please see below for all the club flyers. Clubs are first come, first served. All club fees will be charged to your FACTS account. Please note that God's Garden and ARK Club are both full. There are some spaces left in the other clubs, so please send in the permission form if you would like your child to be part of the club. There will be a mini cheer club, but it won't start until the 2nd quarter at the earliest.

As a reminder we will begin issuing $5 uniform violations beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, September 3. Please be sure to review the uniform policy and guidelines in the Parent Student Handbook. See photos below for a quick reference guide.

Additionally, teachers will start issuing demerits on Tuesday. Once a demerit is issued, you will receive an email from the system informing you. Please review the Code of Conduct with your child(ren) again. We had assemblies this week for grades 3-8 to discuss the Code of Conduct and student expectations at school.

Mark your calendars! Bishop Pohlmeier will be coming to celebrate our Children's Mass on Friday, February 7. There will be no Children's Mass on Thursday, February 6. Thursday will be a Friday schedule and Friday will be a Thursday schedule. As a reminder, family members must have volunteer clearance to attend school Mass.

PLEASE help us keep carline safe for everyone! PLEASE share the rules with anyone you delegate to pick up your child(ren).

1. Please do not pull out of the carline after your child is loaded/unloaded. Please remain in the line and follow the line out of the parking lot.

2. Please be sure your car is IN PARK when your child is being loaded or unloaded.

3. NO CELL PHONES during carline please! We need everyone to be completely focused for our students' and our staff's safety.

We will be having 3 designated conference days this school year. However, if you need to conference with your child's teacher at any other time, please just email him/her! Our goal is for all parents to have a conference with their child's teacher(s) this year. Since we are trying to get everyone in for a conference, we will limit these conference day times to 15 minutes.

Please be on the lookout for a sign-up genius from the teachers for the following conference days/times:

October 11 - 1:30-3:30

November 11 - 12:00-3:00

February 13 - 1:30-3:30

We will be having the Knight School Chess Club and Burn Boot Camp as after school clubs with outside companies. We would like to have a parent or staff member present as well. If you are able to help, please let me know! Chess club is on Thursdays from 3:00-4:15. Burn Boot Camp will be on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00. You would stay for the club to assist if needed and then help with carline dismissal. Volunteer points woud be given for your help!

***NOTE - THERE WILL BE A MINI CHEER CLUB, BUT IT WON'T BE UNTIL SOME TIME AFTER THE 1ST QUARTER! FLYER WILL BE CIRCULATED AT A LATER DATE!***

Please see below for the club flyers. Documents are named according to the grade levels allowed to participate. For example, 3 4 5 ARK Club means the club is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Please check the days and the start dates of the clubs, as these vary depending on the sponsor's availability. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN CLUB FORMS TO ME! HARD COPIES OF THE SIGNED FORMS SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE FRONT OFFICE.

There are some openings this week for lunch and recess duty if you are able assist!

All families are required to do 2 lunch (1 in the Fall and 1 in the Spring) and 2 recess duties (1 in the Fall and 1 in the Spring). Here is the link to sign up for duties:

PCA students are expected to be in proper uniform each day. Students who are not will recieve a uniform violation and parents' FACTS accounts will be charged $5 per violation. More details about the uniform can be found in the Parent-Student Handbook. (Mandatory uniform is to be worn on Mass days and other days as designated by the school.)

A note about shoes - our Handbook says Sperry-type shoes are acceptable and does not say they have to be leather. Therefore, canvas Sperry-type shoes are acceptable as long as they are in the correct color. However, Hey Dudes and Vans are NOT acceptable.
