OPA MS FOAMALICIOUS Jog-a-thon is coming!
OPA-MS FIRST ANNUAL JOG-A-THON - APRIL 19
We’re holding our Eagle Foam Run on Friday, April 19. We hope each student can raise $40 to reach a goal of $20,000 to support our Champions and Campus. Visit https://opamshonoursociety.membershiptoolkit.com/jogathon for more information on prizes and how to begin your fundraising efforts.
March Chancellor Chat 3/26 @ 8:30 am
Please join me for our March Chancellor on March 26 to discuss our Positive Behavior and Intervention System (PBIS) and review our school-wide progressive discipline policy. We will use this time to gather feedback on our parent and student handbook for 24-25 as well! The meeting will take place virtually and a zoom meeting will be posted on our school calendar and sent out by email. Please RSVP HERE!!
Weekly Lunch Orders
It is strongly encouraged for families to complete the weekly meal order form to assist with adequate meal orders and to reduce food waste. The form is open every week Friday through Tuesday.
Sharing Food/Outside Food
Please do your best to limit or avoid any food drop-offs during the day. We do have extra lunches available should your child forget to bring theirs. If dropping off a single sack lunch for your own child, you may do so in our front office. Restaurant/fast food brought in for students will not be allowed.
For student and staff safety, students should not utilize online food delivery services like Door Dash or Uber Eats during the school day. Food is often left in front of the SV campus without notification. Students are not allowed to exit campus to retrieve food. If a student forgets their lunch at home, we do provide free lunch daily.
OPA-MS loves to celebrate! Several classroom celebrations are scheduled during the year. Instead of individual birthday celebrations, OPA-MS parents may donate a book to the classroom library in honor of their child. For OPA-MS celebrations, we do not allow any food to be given out to students. Please do not send food to your student’s classrooms to be shared or passed out to other students.
OPA MS Marching Band to Perform at the May 9th Angels Game
Our middle school Eagle Regiment Marching Band will be participating in an amazing fundraiser/performance opportunity and would like to invite all of our OPA community to come support us.
On Thursday, May 9th, 2024, our Eagle Regiment Marching Band will be performing the National Anthem at Anaheim Stadium for the Anaheim Angels game along with several other Southern California middle school bands.
For this event, we will be selling tickets and a portion of each ticket sold will go to our marching band program. Our goal is to fill both available sections with teal and have as many of our amazing OPA community come to support our marching band performance, as well as hang out and enjoy the Angel game. The Anaheim Angels will be playing against the Kansas City Royals.
The game is Thursday, May 9th, 2024 and the National Anthem performance should start at approximately 6:25PM.

OPA Handbook
Please review our Parent and Student handbook for schoolwide reminders and guidelines.
Cell Phones and Earbuds
Our staff works hard to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment. Cell phones and earbuds/airpods are a huge distraction and safety concern. Students are required to have their cell phones turned off and put away during the school day. Earbuds and Airpods should remain in their backpacks unless a teacher allows them to use them for school work. Please remind your students to "unplug" once they walk onto campus. If they need to contact a parent/guardian during the day, they may go to the office and ask permission to use our phone or their phone. Students are not allowed to take photos/videos and post on social media during the school day.
The Constitution of the State of California requires that we provide a public education to you free of charge. Your right to a free education is for all school/educational activities, whether curricular or extracurricular, and whether you get a grade for the activity or class. Subject to certain exceptions, your right to a free public education means that we cannot require you or your family to purchase materials, supplies, equipment or uniforms for any school activity, nor can we require you or your family to pay security deposits for access, participation, materials, or equipment. Under certain circumstances, students involved in extracurricular programs, clubs and/or sports may be required to attend fundraising events held by the program, sport or club just as you may be required to attend any other event put on by that program, club or sport. However, you will not be required to raise funds as a condition of participation.
