We will turn in our participation soon!
Midway Visitors Coming to DME
From Mrs. Carpenter:
Midway ISD is bringing a team that includes Principal, AP, 4 teachers (K-4), instructional technologist, and librarian. Each will be looking at the campus through their own “lens”.
- First of all, the Midway team is wanting to see the collaboration spaces “in action” from all grade levels….I know it happens organically, but that is one of their highlights to “see”.
- Second of all, they team would like to pop in and out of classrooms and collaboration areas to see tech integration with 1:1 iPads in various grade levels. So we’d like permission to come into your rooms on these days if your kids are not already in collaboration areas.
- Finally, the team would like to talk to a grade level team regarding the trust cards/lanyards. -third grade
Here’s a sample schedule in my head:
9:00 arrive and check in and begin at Kinder Hall
Move around to 1st grade hall
9:45-ish move to tour 4th and 5th grade halls/classrooms
10:30-ish move to 2nd and 3rd grade halls/classrooms
11:00 meet with 3rd grade teachers during conference period regarding trust card system.
Week of April 23 - Campuses will host screenings for Kinder Round-Up, etc. that your campus traditionally offers to incoming kindergarten students. Paperwork may be less due to the pre-online enrollment effort. This date may change and procedures may be adjusted as we continue to plan as a district.
March 12- 30 - We will launch our Kindergarten online enrollment as a district in an effort for parents to fill out registration forms. . This is an online effort only.
