Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy High School Parents and Community Members,
I am writing to share the incredible success of our "Walk from Walker" event held on Friday, January 10th. We welcomed 8th-grade students from Walker Junior High School to Kennedy High School for a morning filled with excitement and exploration.
The morning began with a spirited rally in the KPAC where future Fighting Irish learned our school cheers and gained valuable insights into the diverse and enriching programs, electives, clubs, and athletics that Kennedy offers. Following the rally, students had the opportunity to visit elective classes to experience firsthand the engaging learning environments and discover courses that align with their interests. They also explored the gym to learn more about our comprehensive athletic, electives, and extracurricular programs.
It was an honor to showcase the exceptional opportunities that make Kennedy High School a truly special place. We believe this event provided valuable guidance to our incoming freshmen as they prepare for their high school journey.
Join me on Monday, January 13th for a special edition of "Coffee with the Principal" – "Cookies with a Counselor"! We will delve into special programs and opportunities available to our current 9th through 11th-grade students. This is a valuable event for parents of current students.
Thursday, January 16th marks the official launch of our 2025 Capstone Showcase. During Advisement, 12th-grade students will create links to their presentation slides, while 9th-11th-grade students will develop, review, and revise Capstone slides and create ePortfolios for the 2024-25 school year.
On Friday, January 17th at 7:00 PM in the KPAC, don't miss the Kennedy Talent Show! This is a fantastic opportunity to witness the hidden (or not so hidden) talents of our students.
