Bi-Weekly Newsletter - June 17, 2020
Message from the Principal
We would like to again congratulate our graduating Class of 2020. While the end of the year concluded as no one could expect, we hope that you were able to enjoy all of the recognitions and acknowledgements that were organized by both the school district and community. We wish you the best as you move on to the next chapter of your lives.
We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our incoming ninth graders, the Class of 2024. While many things are unknown for the start of the school year, we are excited that you will be joining us.
As a high school, we are working to develop plans to be able to safely bring students back to school while providing the most effective instructional model regardless of our restrictions. We have our current schedule (green); are working to develop a blended model (yellow), and have a structure for all online learning (red). Our goal is to create a structure that allows us to flow in and out of these models depending on what is necessary during the 2020-2021 school year.
To be prepared for the fall, we have solicited feedback from teachers and students at the end of the school year and most recently held a focus group with several high school parents. From theses meetings, we have a better understanding of what worked and areas that need to be improved for the upcoming school year. Thank you to all that participated.
As more information becomes available, we will work to keep everyone updated with our plans for the start of the school year. Please make sure to look at the "Upcoming Important Dates" at the bottom of the newsletter and mark your calendars.
We hope that everyone has a chance to rest and relax this summer.
Thank you,
Ken Kraemer
2019-2020 Final Report Cards
2019-2020 Final report cards will be sent this week via U.S. Mail.
You may notice a small fluctuation in your cumulative grade point average at the end of the school year. At the end of semester one, we store potential credit in our system as if a student has completed the course in order to calculate our Latin Honors for our graduates. After the year is complete, final grades are stored and the potential credit from semester one is removed. At times, this may cause a slight fluctuation in your cumulative grade point average. The GPA on your final report card is your official GPA up to this point.

Honoring Seniors – The PTO honored our Seniors in four ways:
- Banners – Banners were places at three community intersections.
- Yard Card – A fun Yard Card was placed at the entrance of graduation.
- Snapchat Filter – A Snapchat filter was created of Mr. Kraemer handing out a diploma.
- TikTok “Duet” – Two videos were created of Mr. Kraemer handing and tossing a diploma so students could create their own video “duet” receiving and catching it.
Top Volunteers – In addition to the Board and Committee Chairs, we had 35 members volunteer to make all of this happen! So grateful to them. The volunteers with the most hours are Julie Arguelles, Jennifer Swincicki, Beth Longnecker, Mabel Brown, and Laurie Worly. THANK YOU!
