MAP and DIBELS Testing
Winter is here and our students are off and running with mid-year assessments for MAP and DIBELS. These Winter assessments allow teachers to identify strengths and areas for potential growth for grade levels and individual students. Our math MAP testing will take place during the week of December 9-13th along with our DIBELS testing taking place during the middle of January. Please contact your classroom teacher with specific testing questions.
K-5 Winter Music Program
Our students are excited to perform Holiday music for you on December 12th from 6-8PM at Westridge Middle School. Our Kindergarten and 1st grades will perform at 6PM. Our 2nd and 3rd grade students will perform at 7PM. Our 4th and 5th grade students will perform at 8PM. Please see the flyer sent home for specific details.

Major Saver Discount Card Program
We will be encouraging students to sell Major Saver discount cards to family and friends from January 9th-January 21st. This discount card helps families save money with a number of local businesses in our community and a portion of the sales comes back to support Shoemaker. In the past, we have used the money raised to pay for additional field trips and unique experiences such as our entire student body visiting Pete's Safari. Thanks in advance for your support in January!
Positive Referrals for Students
When our Shoemaker Eagles make choices that reflect being respectful, responsible, and safe they at times will earn a positive referral ticket and sticker. We ask parents that notice their child wearing a sticker on their shirts to ask how they earned their positive referral in order to reinforce that positive choice. Every Monday we have a prize drawing for every grade level from the positive referral tickets that students earn throughout the prior week. Thanks for your support with encouraging our students to always do their best in being respectful, responsible, and safe!
