GOODRICH MIDDLE SCHOOL
JANUARY 6, 2025
Portrait of a Learner Input form due by January 12th.
Dear Martian Family,
To go along with our newly developed strategic plan, we are excited to begin the process of creating a Portrait of a Learner. This portrait will further define our vision of “Preparing Students for Life”. It will outline the essential skills, knowledge, and mindsets our students need to succeed in school, career, and life.
Your feedback is critical to this work. As educators and staff, you play a key role in helping shape what this Portrait of a Learner will look like. Your experiences and perspectives will help ensure that our vision is grounded in the realities of teaching, learning, and student development. The opportunity to provide input on the development of a Portrait of a Learner will also be sent to community members. Middle School and high school students will also have a chance to share their voice in this data collection.
Please take a moment to complete this brief Portrait of a Learner form by January 12, 2025. On January 13, the district continuous improvement team will be reviewing the stakeholder data to start the process of developing a Portrait of a Learner for Goodrich and your feedback will be extremely helpful.
This endeavor is a direct extension of our strategic plan and will help us stay focused on our vision to prepare our students for life. Thank you for being part of this important process and for everything you do to make a difference for our students.

Attendance
Consistent attendance is imperative to your child's success. Regular attendance helps us ensure that students are engaged and receiving the education they need to be successful. When you keep us informed about your child's absences, we can provide the necessary support and resources to help them stay on track. Your cooperation in promptly reporting attendance not only helps us maintain accurate records but also contributes to your child's academic growth and well-being.
Our school hours are:
Full Day: 7:23-2:25
Half Day: 7:23-10:53
Tardy: Students should be in their classrooms by 7:23. 5 first hour tardies will result in a lunch detention for your student.
