Looks like we have some more shoveling to do this weekend! As a reminder, we have Monday off in recognition of President's Day. However, with our adjusted calendar we do have school Tuesday - Friday.
If your student will be missing time during that week, please let the office know ahead of time.

Chromebook Care
We are seeing an uptick in chromebooks needing repair. Please talk with your child about ensuring propper care of the chromebook and reinforce that they are still school property and should be treated with care.

General Care
Students and families are responsible for taking care of the Chromebook.
When carrying a Chromebook in a backpack, take care it does not receive extreme or uneven pressure against the screen. Dropping or banging a backpack while carrying the Chromebook can result in damage to the Chromebook. Do not sit on a backpack that contains a Chromebook.
Students will be provided a case for the Chromebook. The Chromebook must be kept in this case at all times.
Students may customize (label, identify, or decorate) their Chromebook case, but not the Chromebook itself.
Chromebooks should not be stored in a vehicle and should never be left in view inside a vehicle, locked or unlocked.
Cords and cables must be inserted and removed carefully to prevent undue wear and damage.
Care should be taken to prevent the Chromebook, cables, and accessories from getting wet. This includes accidental food and beverage spills, excess humidity and precipitation.
Exposure to long-term temperature extremes should be avoided.
Use only a clean, soft cloth to wipe the screen. Do not use cleansers of any type.
Do not lean on or place anything heavy against the screen.
Uptick in Illnesses
As I'm sure everyone has noticed, there is a dramatic rise in illnesses right now. Please ensure that you are following the district's policy on keeping your children home if they are not feeling well.
If your child is staying home to illness, please call the school's health office directly at 978-281-9847

Illnesses Requiring Absence & Return to School Guidelines
A communicable disease (e.g. Measles, Mumps, COVID-19, Chicken Pox, Strep Infection, etc)
COVID-19 - All students who return from having COVID-19 must wear a facemask for five days
Strep infection β Students must receive 24 hours of antibiotic therapy and be fever free for the preceding 24 hours before returning to school
Chicken Pox β Students must remain home seven days after the appearance of the last eruption. All chicken pox must have crusted over before returning to school.
Impetigo - (preschool children only as per health guidelines)
Fever of 100.4 degrees or more within the past 24 hours. Your child should be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school
Vomiting/diarrhea within the past 24 hours with associated illness
Pain that requires narcotic medication
An upper respiratory illness with significant coughing or nasal discharge
An oozing rash or skin condition not diagnosed by a physician
