Welcome Letter to Families
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to school!
We hope this letter finds you well-rested and excited for the new school year ahead. Whether you are returning to Academy at the Farm or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our school community.
As we begin this academic year, we want to express our gratitude to each of you for your continued support and trust in our school. Together, we are committed to fostering an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
This year promises to be filled with opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement. Our dedicated faculty and staff have been hard at work preparing engaging lessons and meaningful experiences that will challenge and inspire our students.
Throughout the year, we will encourage our students to embrace curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. We believe in nurturing a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom and prepares students for success in an ever-changing world.
Communication between school and home is vital to your child's educational journey. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have. Together, we can ensure that every student reaches their fullest potential.
We encourage you to stay informed about school events, important dates, and academic progress by regularly checking our school website and newsletters. We will also utilize other communication channels such as Facebook and Instagram.
Thank you once again for entrusting us with your child's education. We are confident that by working together, we can make this school year a memorable and successful one for each and every student.
Here's to a fantastic year ahead!
Important Registration Forms
Please complete all three required forms linked below before registration. If the forms are not completed beforehand, you must complete them before receiving your child's schedule.
Volunteer Policy 📢
To continue to ensure the safety of our students, the District is making several changes to our volunteer requirements and application process for the 2024-2025 school year. Effective 8/1/2024, all volunteers will be required to complete a Level 2 background screening every 5 years. This background check will review records in the state of Florida as well as the national FBI database. The cost for this screening is $41.25 and volunteers will be responsible for this cost. The District will pay the yearly monitoring fee for each volunteer. Volunteers will need to complete an annual volunteer application to ensure accurate records.
Before volunteers can be approved for the 2024-2025 school year, volunteers will need to complete a Raptor volunteer application and this background screening.
Volunteers can access the 2024-2025 Volunteer Application on July 1st, 2024. This application link will be posted on this website.
The District partners with Fieldprint for fingerprinting appointments and processing. Fieldprint has locations throughout the county and many sites are open outside of regular work hours, including weekends. The link listed below is now active. We encourage volunteers to be printed as soon as possible to avoid any delays once the application opens. Volunteers can schedule a fingerprinting appointment using the following link: FIELDPRINT SCHEDULING.

Intermediate 🎒
Welcome to Intermediate!
The 3rd- 5th grade years of a student’s schooling experience are full of growth and independence. The students go from learning basic skills to being able to apply those same skills to their everyday world. Those skills range from academic, to social, to emotional, and beyond.
The question becomes, how do we foster this shift? As a team, we have chosen to focus on three aspects that we believe will have the greatest impact on creating lifelong learners and productive citizens.
Respect- This one action filters everything we do in life.
Responsibility- The ability to be independent and to make informed choices.
Personal Accountability- Responsibility comes with consequences. Sometimes the consequence is positive, other times it’s negative. When we are personally accountable, we are able to own the choice no matter the consequence, then make adjustments if needed.
We teach, practice, and apply these principles daily in everything we do with our students.
Students who succeed in those areas become more confident, and that confidence leads to risk-taking, which leads to growth.
We truly look forward to working with you and your child during this year.
