Cougar Courier Edition 2
Hello Antwine Families,
I hope this message finds you well and full of energy as we wrap up our second successful week of the school year. I am thrilled to see the enthusiasm and dedication from our scholars, staff, and families. It’s clear that we are all committed to making this a fantastic year of growth and learning.
This week has been a testament to our community’s resilience. Transitioning back into the school routine is never easy, but the way our scholars have embraced their studies, their friendships, and the school’s expectations has been nothing short of inspiring. Each day, I’ve seen scholars rise to the challenges before them with determination and a positive attitude. This resilience will be a crucial component of their success, not just this year but throughout their lives.
I want to take a moment to highlight the importance of maintaining this positive momentum. Our school is not just a place for academic learning but a community where we grow as individuals. Positive behavior, respect for one another, and a commitment to doing our best are values that will help all of us thrive. Let’s continue to encourage each other to meet these expectations, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
As we move forward, I encourage everyone to keep up the great work and to support each other in this journey. Let’s celebrate our successes and learn from our challenges, always remembering that resilience and a positive mindset are key to overcoming any obstacles we might face.
Thank you for your continued dedication to making Hurshel Antwine a wonderful place to learn and grow. Together, we are building a community of excellence.
Wishing you all a restful Sunday and a PAWSome week ahead!

Uniform Policy
Be sure to become familiar with our uniform policy.
It is the philosophy of the Socorro Independent School District and Hurshel Antwine School that scholars should maintain high standards of dress, grooming, and appearance. SISD has established the following universal uniform options to compliment the other agreed upon school uniform options:
- Khaki pants and a white polo shirt without a school logo;
- School uniform pants and a school colored polo shirt without a school logo.
- Physical education uniform bottoms (shorts or sweatpants in any color) and a white, gray, or school colored t-shirt without a school logo.
As per Policy FNCA (local), a universal uniform may be worn at any SISD School, which has elected to implement a school uniform policy.
