SEPTEMBER 2024
Smore...? Tell me more!
We’re off to a fantastic start to the 2024-2025 school year. As we settle into the new school year, we encourage all students to continue being active participants in fostering the positive, welcoming environment we are building together at South Grand Prairie High School.
Believe it or not, the end of Quarter 1 is fast approaching—on October 11th! We urge parents and guardians to regularly check Skyward to monitor their scholar's progress and ensure they’re staying on track academically.

Community Liaison/Family Engagement
Let's Welcome SGPHS Community Liaison: Margarita DeLeon!
What can Family Engagement Liaisons do?
Family Engagement Liaisons and Specialists are valuable resources for schools because they know a great deal about your child’s school and community. They facilitate meaningful parental involvement in the school, enhance the learning ability of children, and help parents identify and secure valuable community and educational resources. They can coordinate and implement outreach to families. They can do home visits, and coordinate and present parent workshops.

SGPHS Social Workers
A school social worker provides counseling and support services to students inside a school setting. They work with children, parents, teachers, school administrators, and the wider community to support the mental and emotional health needs of students and their families. We have two social workers on campus that will serve all students. You can contact them by email, phone, or by visiting the office.
