Dear Amazing Families of Madison Park,
Dear Amazing Families of Madison Park,
With our second quarter off to a great start we were so excited to host our 1st Quarter Awards Assembly this past week.! Congratulations to all of our 5-8th graders who were recognized for their 1st Quarter successes. Students were recognized for Respect, Outreach, Achievement in each subject area, and Responsibility (ROAR), Honor Roll, and RULER Charter Champion Awards. Thank you to all of the Park families that came out to support your child’s awesome achievements! We strive to work with students, teachers, and families to continue making Park an excellent school for all students academically, emotionally, and socially where everyone feels safe, respected, supported and successful. This is a very busy month around the school. We encourage many of you to visit the campus, whether it is at Parent-Teacher conferences, PTO meetings, or sporting events. Also, help support our school spirit by encouraging our students to demonstrate pride in our school by wearing “Blue and Gold” every Friday!
Best regards,
Priscilla Gossett - Principal
Rebecca Galindo - Assistant Principal

Coming Soon: New School-to-Home Communication Tool - ParentSquare
Based on feedback we have received from families and staff about the need for more streamlined communication between schools and families, we are excited to share that this year we will be rolling out a new school-to-home communication tool called ParentSquare. This tool will help provide a consistent, district-wide platform for schools and families to communicate and share information and updates. ParentSquare allows families to be connected to everyday content and updates on one single platform through the app or website interface (with a very familiar social media-like interface). Families can choose to receive either instant notifications or a summarized digest of information once a day. In emergency situations, notifications will be sent via call, text, email, and app immediately regardless of the user’s instant or summarized digest notification preference.
Check out this video to learn more about ParentSquare
Four schools have volunteered to pilot the program beginning later this fall - Madison Heights, Madison No. 1, Madison Camelview and Madison Park. ParentSquare will be rolled out to the remaining schools during the spring semester.
Park Farmer's Market - Friday, 10/25/24 from 9:00 - 10:30am

Halloween - No costumes at school
We know that Halloween is approaching. This is a friendly reminder that we will not be celebrating Halloween at School. Our Leadership Team has chosen to celebrate students in more meaningful ways with our quarterly Team Building Activities, ROAR Assemblies and our upcoming Winter Festival organized by Student Council. If a student would like to show Halloween spirit students may wear an appropriate Halloween themed shirt. Please keep candy at home due to those who may have food allergies.
Morning and Afterschool Program/Activities
If your child is participating in a morning or afterschool program/club/activities(s). We kindly ask that you please follow our student drop-off and pick-up procedures. We would like to keep traffic moving as much as possible and ask for your help. Following our student drop-off and pick-up procedures will help with our students’ safety.
Veteran's Day - Flag Raising Ceremony - 11/8/24
Mark your calendars and join us for our Flag Raising Ceremony to honor Veterans Day on Thursday, 11/8/24, from about 8:30 - 9:00 am. We encourage all of our families to join us for this event and if you are a Veteran's we would love to see you in uniform to honor you. We will meet as a school by our flag pole and have invited the JROTC from Camelback High School to raise our flag. We are also holding an Essay Contest for students. If students would like to enter they will need to write a one page essay choosing ONE of the following topics. Two winners will be chosen to read their essay during our Flag Raising Ceremony. Essays are due to the homeroom teacher and need to be turned in by the end of the school day on Friday, 11/1/24.
Essay Topics/Writing Prompt (Choose only one):
1. Soldiers are called to be courageous in defending the nation and its people. How do Veterans show courage and what do you think it means to be courageous?
2. Write a thank you letter to Veterans.
3. Our nation celebrates Veterans Day on November 11 each year. How can we celebrate Veterans all year long?
4. What is Veterans Day? What does Veterans day mean to me?
Our flag pole is located in front our our school by the parking lot. For this reason we will be closing our parking lot at 8:30 am to keep the student body and staff, who will be standing in the lot separate from car traffic. If you arrive after 8:30 am, you will need to drop off your student in bus drop off roundabout.

A Message from our Library Associate, Ms. Nesbeitt
Our library’s Book Fair is coming up in November, from the 12th to the 15th! This is a fantastic way for students to enrich their time at school, get new books at a great price, and support our school library, all at the same time. It’s also a great way for Park families to get involved in their students’ school experience! The Book Fair will be open during school days and on Friday evening at our Movie Night event, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us keep it running smoothly. Sign up here or email our librarian Ms. Nesbeitt to find out how you can help!
