2024 Acts of Kindness Campaign completed! A message from the organizer, Mr. Grier:"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." Looking back on the last 10 weeks of kindness, we have tried to inspire you and everyone in our community to be kind. Tracking all of the kindness acts has become a challenge and so, we do not have official numbers on the totals and whether we met our goal or not. I am happy to say though that we were able to get participation from all parts of our community. Thank you to all! Let’s continue to offer to each other and to our planet some of the greatest gifts of all - love & kindness.
Easing the transition to Middle School: On Friday, current Grade 6 students attended a panel discussion led by four Grade 7 students, Shelby Gaba, Harry Garshagen, Leo Vainberg and Jake Therrien. The grade 6 students were given the opportunity to pose questions after Shelby, Harry, Leo and Jake offered brief presentations as an introduction, which included their thoughts on the best aspects of Middle School and the most challenging parts about the transition to Grade 7. Questions from the grade 6 were varied, some of which revolved around the shift from homerooms to core groups, having multiple teachers, the addition of a new class of students, lockers, workload, and the Veritas Golden Tie. All the students showed a great deal of interest and maturity!

Last year's event was a testament to our community's spirit and generosity, and now we're rallying together for an even bigger milestone. Be a part of this memorable occasion by becoming a sponsor, donating auction prizes to help us reach our fundraising goal, or join us for dinner! Watch our highlight video from last year's tournament to witness the magic, and get ready to swing into action for a cause that's close to our hearts. Together, let's make the 70th anniversary of the Old Boys' Association one to remember. For more information, visit selwyn.ca/golf.
