E-LEARNING DAY FOR ALL D5 STUDENTS ~ FRIDAY, OCT. 11

District 5 previously announced that Friday, October 11, 2024, will be used as a hazardous weather makeup day due to the school closure on August 8, 2024. Please be advised that Friday, October 11, 2024, will be an e-learning day for all students in School District Five. All teachers and staff should report to school as normal.

Teachers will post assignments to Google Classroom by 10:00 a.m. for asynchronous learning. If a teacher does not utilize Google Classroom, they will notify parents and students of how this information will be shared. Asynchronous learning involves students completing assignments independently at their own pace throughout the day. Teachers will continue to support students during asynchronous learning by providing feedback, responding to questions, and reviewing assignments when in-person learning resumes. All students will have up to five (5) school days to complete assignments.

All after school childcare programs are canceled on Friday, October 11, 2024. However, other after school activities and athletic events will continue as scheduled.

Your Eagles volleyball team is continuing to soar with wins over Pine Ridge and Fulmer Middle this last week. Our captain Addison Gould led the team in service aces Tuesday night; serving up 9 aces and also had 2 kills. Co-captain Kaprice Solomon had 2 service aces and 2 kills and our returning defensive specialist and Libero, Camila Gonzalez, had 6 aces on the night. This weekend we are all set to shine bright in the Rogue Rally Invitational where we will face off against 11 other middle school teams in the region. Other stats to note: Kiersten Deckard: 2 aces Josie Goforth: 6 assists, 2 aces Harper Sherard: 3 aces and 2 kills Reese O’Mara: 3 aces Parker Ray: 2 kills
