🎉WELCOME 2024! ⏰
DC Schools Welcome Interim Activities Director
Dassel-Cokato Public Schools is pleased to announce that Kay Wilson recently join us as the new interim Activities Director following Perry Thinesen’s retirement after twenty years of service.
Kay comes to this position well-prepared, having spent 40 years in education, including seven years as an AD, before retiring from Glencoe-Silver Lake Schools. “I remember reaching out to Perry. He was always helpful and honest when I called,” Kay commented. “My goal is to help make a smooth transition for the next AD. In the meantime, I’m excited to meet students and their families and plan to attend as many events as possible.”
Superintendent Mark Raymond commented, “We’re excited Kay was available to step in and lead the Activities Department for the remainder of the school year. It allows us to continue operating efficiently while we dedicate time to search for the next Activities Director for Dassel-Cokato Schools.”
Kay’s passion for directing and performing theatre is near the top of her many hobbies. She was in both DC Community Theatre productions of The Sound of Music and Fiddler on the Roof. Kay and her husband split their time between their homes in Glencoe and north of Cokato, enjoying the quietness of lake life and their grandchildren.
