March Parent Newsletter
March 27, 2024
Spring is here!
It's really hard to believe that spring is already here, and we are currently in our last nine week period of the school year. This is such a great time of year, and there is so much going on. We hope this, and all newsletters, help you plan and become aware of all things high school. We enjoy working with each and every one of our students. Thank you for entrusting them to us.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ECLIPSE - APRIL 8
We want to give our students the opportunity to observe this phenomenon. The eclipse should be at its totality for our area around 1:45. We plan to pull students outside around the campus to experience the eclipse. We will provide the safety glasses needed to all students.
Also, we will have an opt out form in the event parents do not want their child to participate.
INFORMATION FOR APRIL 9
On April 9, we will give the English 1 & 2 STAAR EOCs to 9th and 10th grade students and ACT for juniors who signed up.
Juniors who will not take the ACT will meet with the history teachers for an US History STAAR EOC review.
Seniors who have ALL graduation requirements, attendance, and credits in order will have a senior privilege day and will not be required to attend school on April 9. Seniors who still need to take care of some requirements will be expected to be at school that day. Seniors who need to be at school on April 9 were told at a senior meeting on March 25.
