El Camino is holding a canned food drive now through November 14th. Boxes for collection are placed in student's 2nd period classes or you may bring donations to the office. The class with the most donations will be rewarded with a hot cocoa party!

Students who took the PSAT can access their scores on www.collegeboard.org (PSAT/NMSQT). If you have issues accessing your score, please see Mrs. Wilson in the VP's office.

Eagle families - there will be one final opportunity to learn about the fantastic trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii for June of 2025...Join Mr. Hasdovic on Thursday, November 14th, from 6-7 pm in Room 45 to learn about this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime travel opportunity! ASB will be hosting a Leatherby's fundraiser on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 5-9 pm at 2333 Arden Way. Money from this fundraiser will go towards this year's upcoming senior ball!

There is a Winter Sports Parent meeting on Monday, November 18th at 6 pm in the cafeteria. This is a mandatory meeting for all coaches and parents. Opportunities for student travel in 2025! If your child is interested in traveling next spring/summer please come to an information meeting Wednesday, November 20 at 6:30 pm in the EC Performing Arts Center. There will be presentations on the trips to France, Spain, Costa Rica, Greece and London Theater tour. This year's annual Talen Show will take place on December 6th at 6 pm in the Performing Arts Center. There will be tons of talent this year so come out and show your support! Admission to the Talent Show is free!

San Juan Unified high school students are invited to share their voices and submit their work for the San Juan Unified Literary Magazine, a student-run publication. Submissions close on January 10, 2025. The theme for this year's magazine is "We are Dreamers." Learn more about the submission process Accepted submissions include:

Water Polo:

• Girls and boys water polo teams both made it to playoffs. What a great season both teams have had. Congratulations for all your hard work. The boys playoff game is tonight, so I'll update you next week on that outcome.

A Cane's Fundraiser will be held December 20th to support Junior Prom. It will be held from 5-8 pm, at 3348 El Camino Avenue. Come out to support the Junior class and the upcoming dance.

Students may begin registering for their Block 1 AP Exams now through November 6, 2024 after they enroll into their AP classes in MyAP through the College Board. Students are encouraged to register for their exams early to avoid incurring late fees. After November 6, 2024 - November 14, 2024, students will accrue a $43.00 late fee for each exam that is unwaivable. November 14th is the last day for students to register for Block 1 exams. Flyer Block 2 registration will begin on January 7, 2025.

If you are interested in volunteering here at El Camino, on a field trip or for your child's teacher please go to the following links to complete the volunteer forms and make an appointment to have your fingerprints completed.

In an effort to accommodate schedules for our working community, we are happy to host monthly after-hours volunteer fingerprint clinics at the district office board room (3738 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael) from 5 to 6:30 pm on the following dates:

• Thursday, November 14
• Thursday, December 5

A valid photo ID is required. Verification forms must be completed prior to fingerprinting. Forms can be found at www.sanjuan.edu/volunteer
