Welcome Back!
Off to a great start!
We are excited to welcome all of our performing arts students and families! Please take the time to read through our performing arts newsletters as they are published! Mr. Eldredge, Mrs. Mendez and Ms. Montgomery will include very imoprtant information and announcements here at least once per quarter. We are enjoying working with our ensembles and are looking forward to a great year!
Fall Concerts!
We are so excited to invite you to our first concerts of the 2024-2025 school year!
Choral concert - Wednesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m. at Lakewood High School 9700 W. 8th Ave Lakewood, CO 80215 (no tickets needed for this concert)
Band concert - Thursday, October 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Manning
Orchestra concert - Thursday, October 10th at 7:30 p.m. at Manning
BAND AND ORCHESTRA concerts will take place in the Manning Auditorium and doors will open at 5:30 p.m. See below for ticket information. We hope you can join us for these special events!
Tickets!
Tickets to Manning concerts are available for $3 each at the following website and will go on sale Monday, September 16, 2024.

PLEASE make sure you order tickets for the correct concert. There will be no assigned seating inside the auditorium. Make sure to get your tickets early! We will have a list of ticket holders at the door and will keep track of incomplete parties so you do not need to worry about getting a receipt to all your ticket holders. Ticket proceeds help pay our wonderful accompanist, allow us to hire instrument specialists to help with All County, purchase music, etc. Thank you for your support!
Arrival Times and Responsibilities
Choral students should arrive at Lakewood High School dressed in concert attire by 5:30 p.m. and will also be expected to stay for the entire concert.
Instrumental students should arrive dressed in concert attire with music and their instrument by the following times and will be expected to stay for their entire concert:
Bands arrive at 5:15 p.m.
Orchestras arrive at 6:45 p.m.
PLEASE meet your students outside after the concert. Our auditorium hallway gets very crowded and we will need to release several students through his corridor. We also have a tight schedule between our band and orchestra concerts which will create crowding. Thank you for understanding.
We will be recording all concerts in case you can't attend or would like an audio recording.
Concert Attire
Concert Attire - Bands and Orchestras
Instrumentalists will be wearing Concert Black. "Concert Black" means:
-Black Shoes (As long as they are not bright or distracting, they do not have to be dress shoes)
-Black Socks
-Black long-sleeve formal shirt and black dress pants (and belt) OR a long black dress
Students should not wear a skirt, hat, or any elaborate jewelry, so that no student stands out or feels left out.
Concert Attire - Images and Resonance (Choirs)
Ladies will wear black, closed toe, ballet style, flat dress shoes and the assigned dress from Southeastern Apparel (Melisma dress for Images and Callie dress for Resonance)
If you have not already ordered your dress, please do so ASAP. Dresses can take more than six weeks to arrive. Both dresses are available in youth and adult sizes.

Gentlemen will wear black dress pants, black socks, black dress shoes, and black long sleeved dress shirts. Please - NO short sleeved shirts, tennis shoes, heels or jeans - Please remember that this is performance attire and we want to look professional.
Ties and sashes will be provided for all students
Musical Theatre
All students will be performing in the musical, Frozen Jr., in December. Details were included in the class syllabus. Dress rehearsals and performances are required. Please let Mrs. Mendez know as soon as possible if you have a conflict.

Volunteers
The Performing Arts Department is looking for parents to chair our booster club. Booster club keeps track of the funds that help pay for our accompanist, clinicians, music, etc. If you are interested in helping please contact Judy Lancy at manningptapresident@gmail.com
We always need volunteers to help check names (tickets) at the auditorium entrance. If you would be willing to help at any concert, please contact Mrs. Mendez at smendez@jeffco.k12.co.us
Needs!
We are in need of AA batteries and Kleenex. If you are able to donate these items we are very appreciative.
Fundraising
Skate Night
We are hosting a performing arts department skate night on September 12, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at skate city! A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to our department. Entrance is $5 and skate rental is $7.
Wreath Fundraiser
We will be selling holiday wreaths as a performing arts fundraiser. Wreath sales start October 21st, more info coming soon!
