Conferences Approaching

Highland Park Elementary will be hosting conferences on the following dates:

  • Monday, March 24, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 27, 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, March 28, 7:30 a.m. - 12:10 p.m.


We will send out communication, including instructions for signing up, on Monday, March 17.

Book Fair

The Highland Park Elementary Book Fair, hosted by the PTA in partnership with Red Balloon Bookshop, is coming soon! Shop a fantastic selection of diverse books and fun items, all while supporting our school. Join us in the library during parent-teacher conferences on Monday, March 24th from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 27th from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., or Friday, March 28th from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Can't make those times? No problem! Simply shop at Red Balloon Bookshop (891 Grand Ave.) and mention Highland Park Elementary.

Spring Conference Potluck for Staff (PTA)

Please join us in providing meals for our amazing HPE staff during conferences on March 24 and 27.


On Monday, Mar. 24 we will provide a salad bar dinner for the staff. You may bring a food or drink item. Food can be dropped off at school between 7:15 and 3:00 that day. You may also donate money to be used to buy items for this dinner. Please use this link https://signup.com/go/VvZjfUm to choose your item(s) and to sign up.


On Thursday, Mar. 27 we will order pizza for the staff. You can donate money to help pay for the pizza (please use this link https://square.link/u/LwerwZ6e). Money can also be sent to the school office (checks made out to HPE PTA).

Summer Programming in SPPS

MCAs Beginning Soon!

Our site will begin MCA testing on April 15 for students in grades 3-5. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the MCAs for math and reading, and students in grade 5 will take the MCAs for math. The MCAs are an important part of our instruction and our understanding of student progress.
