Greetings LTUSD friends and families,
We are starting to prepare for year-end celebrations and I wanted to highlight Staff Appreciation Week, Teacher Appreciation Day, and the Celebration of Education.
🌟 Staff Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation Day 🌟
We’re thrilled to announce that Staff Appreciation Week is just around the corner! From Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10, we’ll be celebrating the incredible dedication and commitment of our staff members. Our board members will personally visit each site to express their gratitude and thank every staff member for their unwavering support in shaping our students’ lives. Teacher Appreciation Day falls on Wednesday, May 8. If you have a moment, please take the opportunity to express your heartfelt thanks to a teacher who is making a positive difference in our kids’ lives. A simple “thank you” can go a long way!

Discover and foster the unique talents and potential of all students!
We rolled out the first phase of classroom improvements designed to promote engagement, collaboration, comfort, and creativity which will enhance the student learning experience. Modern, innovative seating arrangements and ergonomic designs contribute to a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Plans to update more classrooms are included in the updated draft of the Facilities Master Plan (FMP) . On April 18, 2024, LTUSD held an Open House where community members heard about the plan and provided valuable feedback regarding priorities, which included updating old buildings for health, safety, and accessibility. In addition to that meeting, the District also obtained input from staff. The Board will hear about the updated FMP during the May 9 Board meeting.
