Final Exam Exemptions
It is important to us that we provide opportunities for our students to be successful in all areas of their academic experience. It is our goal to ensure students that are working hard in the classroom, attending class, and continuing to meet behavior expectations receive positive reinforcement.
Students have the opportunity to be exempt from their Final Exams in December and May if they meet the criteria provided in the Final Exam Exemption document. Please view Final Exam Exemption. Grade, attendance, and behavior eligibility will be tracked accordingly during Semester 1 and Semester 2 school days. Students and parents can monitor student's grades, attendance and more through Qmlativ's Family Access.
If you have further questions, please contact your student’s House Office.
ATTENDANCE
Classroom attendance is tied to classroom success. When students are absent, they miss opportunities to learn, build friendships, and develop skills and attitudes needed to become good citizens. Royse City ISD encourages students to be at school every day, be on time every day and stay all day. The fact is that attendance raises a student’s chance of scoring well on exams and securing college admission. Did you know that high school graduates earn 38% more than those who drop out and college graduates bring in 140% more!
It's important your student is present every period, every day.
Please note: Ninety Percent Attendance Rule (TEC 25.092) •
- In order to be granted credit or a final grade for a course or be promoted to the next grade level, a student from kindergarten through grade 12 must attend at least 90% of the days the class is offered.
- Helpful Attendance Information

Volunteer Opportunities: Parent Teacher Organization
Have you heard about RCHS PTO?
Did you know that Royse City High School has started a PTO? The purpose of the PTO is to aid in the morale of the dedicated teachers and staff at RCHS as well as enhance the students’ learning. The ultimate goal of the PTO is to offer a scholarship to 1-2 students at the end of every year.
In order to meet our goals, we need your help! We would like every family to join the PTO. Currently, we are not asking you to “work” or “volunteer” at the school, we are only asking for your support. The dues are $10.00 per family, and with them, we can make a big difference in the lives of our hardworking staff and students.
Dues can be paid one of three ways…click for more information!
Don’t hesitate to reach out to us at jennifer@alarryross.com.
Please join us for our next meeting, October 23rd 6pm at RCHS!
Together we can make RCHS a great place for our kids! Thanks in advance for your support!
