Black History Spirit Week
Monday, February 24th - Wear Atlanta Braves Attire with jeans to honor the late Atlanta Braves Hall of Famer Hank Aaron.
Tuesday, February 25th-Dress like a teacher day.
Wednesday, February 26th -Inspirational Wednesday- Wear inspiring quotes on your shirts.
Thursday, February 27th - Break out your flannel shirts, jeans, cowboy hats, boots, and handkerchiefs to recognize Black Cowboys in America (the first African American Rodeo Cowboy in the U.S. was Willie "Bill" M. Pickett).
Friday, February 28th: Recognize Historical Black Colleges & Universities by wearing HBCU Attire
Fine Arts Night is February 25th

Please Participate in the EES Family Survey
Each year, GCPS collects feedback from our families about their children's school as part of our commitment to improvement. The Educational Effectiveness Surveys (EES) for Families allows families to provide feedback on nine characteristics of high-performing schools. In addition, the survey asks about two other areas associated with high-performing schools, district support for improvement, and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds.
As a parent or caregiver, you should take one EES Family Survey for each school in which you have a child enrolled.
The survey will be available for you to complete through Friday, March 7.
We hope you will lend your voice to making Gwinnett County Public Schools the best it can be for our students.

Spring Parent-Teacher Conference Sign Up
Spring conferences are coming up the week of March 3rd-7th! Families will have a two-week window to sign up, beginning Wednesday, February 12th.
Keep an eye out for a message from your child’s teacher with specific details on how to sign up. We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s success! 💙
Parent-Teacher Conference Interpreter Requests
An interpreter will be available during your child’s conference, if needed. Please take a moment to review the available time slots. Choose one unique time slot for each student and click the button to sign up. For instance, if you have three children, you’ll need to register three different times. Thank you for your cooperation!

CHILDREN’S AUTHOR LANDRA JENNINGS IS COMING TO VISIT 3rd-5th graders on March 11th!
We are thrilled to announce that author Landra Jennings will be visiting our 3rd-5th graders on March 11th! Mrs. Jennings is the author of Wand and The Whispering Fog, which is a 24-25 SC Junior Book Award Nominee.
She will be sharing her love of books and her writing process with our students. If you would like to pre- purchase books that can be personally autographed, PLEASE TURN IN THIS FORM TO MS. LOVEJOY BY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH! Order form is attached...cash or check made payable to Taylor Elementary.

Please remember, our school arrival times have changed a bit. Student arrival begins at 8:15 and the car rider doors close at 8:35 am. Our late bell rings at 8:40 am. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please arrive in time to eat and return to class by 8:40. Taylor Elementary arrival and dismissal times are listed below.
8:15 am - Car Rider Doors Open
8:35 am - Car Rider Doors Close
8:40 am - First Bell
8:45 am - Late Bell
8:50 am - Start of School Day
2:45 pm – Last Student Check Out
3:20 pm - Dismissal Begins
