Drop Off & Pick Up Reminders
If your child needs to be picked up and dropped off each day, rather than transported on the bus, we use the main entrance, outside the office.
Parent vehicles will line up along High Street to drop children off in the parking lane. Please make your dropoffs quick and efficient AND PLEASE STAY IN YOUR VEHICLES AND ALLOW DNS STAFF TO HELP YOUR CHILDREN OUT OF THE VEHICLE - have children ready to go when you pull forward, and keep goodbyes short and sweet! Wait to release your child until staff on duty have come to your car.
What if my child needs my help getting out of the vehicle?
Please park ahead of the pick-up/drop line CLOSER TO CENTRE STREET if you need to help get them out of the vehicle. Our staff can also help if it’s just unbuckling/opening doors. Having your child sit on the passenger side helps with the unloading of students.
Again, if you are walking your child to the front entrance, please park ahead of the pick-up/drop-off line so that the cars can keep moving forward.
Please utilize the main crosswalk that leads to the front door of the school.
Pick up at the end of the day will be at the same location. We will have staff who ensure the correct child is brought to the correct vehicle. It is very helpful if you can clearly communicate with the staff member which child you are picking up. Putting a sign in your car window with the student’s name(s) is a great help!
Please help us protect the safety of children by dropping off and picking up on the school side of the street, not parking on the opposite side and crossing traffic!
Lines from the Library
Second grade Library Acting Club students from Ms. Michaud's class performed their reader's theater play Rumpelstiltskin for first grade classes. Ms. Hardman hopes the hardworking actors will continue with their theater endeavors.
