Mill Pond Elementary
June 2024
As we come to the end of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to extend my sincerest appreciation to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and partnership throughout the year. This past academic year has presented its fair share of challenges and triumphs, and I am incredibly proud of how our school community has come together with resilience, determination, and compassion.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to our PTA for their hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm for the students and staff at Mill Pond. The creativity, boundless amounts of teamwork and dedication have been a constant source of inspiration, and I am proud to have been able to be on your team. It is amazing all that you have accomplished this year!
To our parents and guardians, thank you for your partnership, collaboration, and involvement in your child's education. Your support, encouragement, and active engagement in your child's learning journey have been instrumental in their growth and development, both academically and personally. I am confident that together, we will continue to build upon the successes of this past year and create an even brighter future for our students.
I wish you and your families a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer break filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories!
Warmest regards,
:-) Mrs. Donohue

🍎 Food Service 🍎
Please make sure that you are preordering your lunches, especially for our preschool students. All lunch bills should be paid prior to June 24th. Thank you!
🌞 Playgroud Safety 🌞
We love to be outside! Whenever possible, weather depending, we will go outside during our scheduled times. Please make sure your student is dressed accordingly. We strongly encourage sneakers that are tied or have velcro. Crocs (even in sport mode) can come off easily and cause an injury. We have had multiple trips to the health office due to flip flops and sandals.
Our swings area and the small playground have rubber mulch. Please talk to your children about not picking up the mulch, throwing the mulch, or putting it into their pockets to bring home. :-)
Being outside means being in the sun. We do not apply sunscreen in school. We ask that you apply sunscreen to your child prior to coming to school. Thank you!
🤧 Health Office 🤒
As the end of the year is near, for any parents that have their child's medications in the health office, please call and make arrangements to pick them up.
Just as a reminder, we have many students with various food allergies. Please check with your child's teacher before sending in any food items. The end of the year presents lots of opportunities for special treats. We appreciate your generosity! We want all of our students to be able to participate and enjoy safely. Items should be store bought with the ingredients clearly labeled. Individually wrapped options are preferred.
Updates to health records are always appreciated. Do not hesitate to send in any updates from your pediatrician. Thank you!

Lost and Found
Our lost and found collection has grown again! If you are stopping by the main office, please take a minute to check the vestibule where all of the unclaimed items are. They range from hats, to jackets, sweatshirts, and a glove or two. ..or four. 😀
Dismissal
For parents that pick up at dismissal, we are having a traffic issue on Western / Haines to include Manchester. We can not use the Cedar Creek parking lot till after their dismissal (3pm). We will not start letting students go till 3:05.
That being said, we ask that you not pick up your students between 2:40 - 3:05 unless it is an emergency.
During that time, our entire staff is focused on gathering our students and transporting them to their proper location for dismissal. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
