As we step into Fall, we are gearing up for some exciting celebrations. We are learning about Hispanic Heritage Month, showcasing student art in the lobby and library. This week, we have Club Rush, Football, and Volleyball matches, and later this month, the Fall Festival (10/31 after school). Student council is all set to host our Student Club Rush on Tuesday and the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Assembly on Friday. Our Girls' volleyball and flag Football teams will showcase their skills on Monday and Wednesday. We look forward to your enthusiastic participation in our sporting events.
Thank you to the families who completed our Annual Verification on ParentVue. Your active participation has been instrumental in our success, increasing our completion rate by 13% from last year and reaching 91% for income verification. Your efforts allow JLA to send critical information to families throughout the year, like the Jefferson Jewels, and provide additional program resources to support student enrichment opportunities.
Here are a few details as you prepare for this week at JLA:
- Regular Day Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00-2:40
- Gates Open: 7:25 am (Breakfast available)
- Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Assemblies: Friday- period 5 & 6
- College Shirt Friday: students are encouraged to wear their favorite college t-shirt to school.
