• Week 5 of school is complete and our student body has done very well with our adjusted cell phone policy. We are seeing far less cell phones in the classroom and student engagement has increased.
• As a district we are exploring options for providing extra support for our students and hope to have some tutoring options in the near future.
• We have finalized the date for Parent Teacher Conferences. Our Parent Teacher Conferences will be held at GHS on October 30th from 5:00-7:30.
• Our Robotics team performed very well at a downstate tournament last weekend and took home a 2nd Place Finish.

If you have questions about a college/trade school or need some information because your senior is unsure of plans after graduation, Ms. Fisher in our counseling department can assist. Ms. Fisher is an Americorps service member dedicated solely to post-secondary planning. Students work with Ms. Fisher to prepare for life after high school:

• explore options
• research programs
• work on applications
• apply for financial aid
• search for scholarships

• $60 a yearbook until Thanksgiving break
• $65 a yearbook from Thanksgiving to Spring Break

Safety and Security is top priority for Gaylord Community Schools and we wanted to provide a link for the state wide OK2SAY program. OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
