4th and 5th Grade Girls' Basketball
Parents of any 4th or 5th grade girl interested in playing league basketball this year need to text Michael Mades at (573) 480-8900. He will need a name, birthdate, and grade. The deadline to let him know is Friday, 9/13.

The Principal's Corner
Dear Tuscumbia School Community,
Three weeks of school have come and gone and students are doing great settling into the routine of school. I have been so impressed with the lessons that teachers are providing students! I love walking into classrooms and watching students be genuinely excited about what they are learning. This past week I’ve seen students working on researching information and evidence to support responses, rounding with three-digit numbers, reading books, taking quizzes, and proving to teachers what they have learned in a very unique and engaging way. The energy and passion that staff members are bringing to the classroom is outstanding, and I know students can feel it!
If your student is dropped off at school in the morning (not a bus rider), please make sure you are not parking in the drop off lane as this backs up traffic. If you walk your student to the front door please park in a parking space and not the drop off lane.
Here are some upcoming events in September that you might want to put on your calendar:
NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 9 – Staff Professional Development Day
Friday, September 13 – Fall Picture Day
Saturday, September 14 – Truck and Tractor Pull
Wednesday, September 18 – Board Meeting
Friday, September 20 – Senior BBQ
Saturday, September 21 – Pig ‘N Pickle
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kirtley
Principal
The COMC Dental Unit will be here September 17-19th.
Request a packet from Nurse Polly if you want your student to be included.
Pig N Pickle will be here before we know it!
