K-2 MINI CAMPS

K-5 Genealogy Summer Mini Camp Grade Level: Elementary (K - 5th grade) Schedule: All Week (June 24th – June 28th) Time: 12 pm - 1 pm Description: Learn about names, genetics, history, how to make a family tree, how to write down information from family members, and much more! Let's R.A.P! Join me for mornings filled with stories, art, games, music, movement and friends! 2 Sessions: Monday to Thursday 10 AM - June 17-20 and July 15-18. Questions? tnegrelli@ohva.org.

K-2 Ocean Soup! Students will give into learning about the ocean layers, sea life, and why we need to keep the ocean clean. We will take virtual field trips to North Myrtle Beach, SC. Come prepares to create a daily cract that relates to that day's big topic. Questions? krmcdonald@ohva.org.

Readers Theater for Beginning Readers K-2 Thursdays at 1 pm - June 6. 13, 20, 27, July 11, 25 - Students will be given a script of a story. They will rehearrse it through the week and then read their part during class. This is a fun way to practice reading with their friends! Questions? Contact Darcie Bell at dbell@ohva.org

3-5 MINI CAMPS

3-5 Cardy's Creative Crafters DATES: June 17 & 24, July 8, 22, 29 with art fair Weds, July 31st. DAYS: Mondays TIME: 11:00 AM Description: Students will complete a 30 minute craft and learn fun facts related to the craft they are completing. PREP: Ms. Bryant will send out the supply list a week before- most projects can be completed with scissors, construction paper, markers, and glue. Questions? Grades 3-5 Charlotte’s Web Book ClubMonday, June 17- Friday June 21 10:00-11:30, Come listen to the classic American children’s novel read aloud!We will discuss and do in-class activities for different chapters. After reading the novel we will watch the movie! 3-5 Dynamite Dinosaurs CampCalling all Dinosaur fans! Ever wonder what it was like back when Dinosaurs roamed the earth? Join me for this Dynamite Dinosaurs Camp to learn about the different kinds of Dinosaurs and what their life was like back when they roamed the earth. 3-5 Summer Vacation across the USA! DATES: July 8th – 12th and Jul7 15th – July 19th DAYS: Monday – Friday TIME: 10 – 11am Would you like to travel to different places this year? Would you like to go somewhere new and have fun? Would you like to be given money to do whatever you want on vacation? Join our summer mascots and come with us to 5 cities across the US this summer. $Middle School - Creative Cardinals - Creative Writing - DATES (Day of the week or Week this summer) DATES: Tuesdays, June 18, 25; July 9, 16, 23 TIME: 10:00 AM Description: Students will explore and experiment with different creative writing genres and techniques in this fun-filled mini-camp! Activities will range from writing from story starters, character creation, photo writing, black-out poetry, fractured fairytales, and finding writing inspiration in the world around you!
