PCH Community Update
2024-2025: The Week of September 30
We have had a very positive start to the school year! As we move into October, we begin the important middle six weeks of the semester. Students, by this time you should have an understanding of the expectations and demands of the classes you are taking and the routine you will need to establish to ensure your success. As I mentioned on the PA on Friday, we want you to be intentional in how you are using your Ac Lab time (i.e. which teachers are you choosing to see for Mods 1 & 2). Between now and fall break, we have three Ac Labs: October 2, October 4, and October 8. On Monday, Ac Lab mods for both Wednesday and Friday will be open for student sign up; plan ahead! Parents, please read the information below regarding parent-teacher coferences, which are scheduled for Wednesday, October 9. This is a great opportunity to check in with teachers regarding your student's progress! For all, as you prepare for this week, please take a few moments to review the information in this one week edition of PCH Community Update, which includes...

Student Absences: Reminders for Parents
As a reminder to parents and guardians, please contact the appropriate grade level office when your student is absent from school. Missouri law and Parkway policy requires the school to keep accurate daily attendance records. To that end, a phone call or email from a parent or guardian on the day of a student absence is essential. At Central High, each grade level office has its own attendance line:
9th grade: 314-415-7910
10th grade: 314-415-7906
11th grade: 314-415-7904
12th grade: 314-415-7908
Thank you for your ongoing and timely communication!
The Corral Newspaper & PCHTV
The first digital edition of the student newspaper, The Corral, is out online! Go to pchcorral.com for the latest in student news, sports and more. You can also follow them on social media at pch_publications on Facebook and Instagram.

Free & Reduced Meals
Parkway Food Pantry
Parkway families and employees are now able to sign up for food pantry distributions this year by completing this form. Families don't have to sign up to come, but it helps us anticipate the number of patrons we will be serving, as well as enabling us to email those who register with updates and reminders before the day of distribution. Click on this link Parkway Food Pantry for additional information.
Project Graduation 2026
Family & Senior Portrait Sessions
The Parkway Central Class of 2026 is again hosting Family Portraits and Senior Portraits in Longview Park, Chesterfield City Park and Faust Park. Cencio Boc, Director of Photography at Webster University, will be our photographer. If you have not seen his work before, take a look at his website https://bocphotodesign.zenfolio.com. His work is amazing! Family sessions begin on Saturday, September 21.
For additional information, incuding, and to sign up, click HERE.
Day of Service
On Monday, October 21, Central High will hold our 7th school-wide Day of Service! D of S offers a unique and meaningful opportunity for all students and staff to realize our district and school mission of being "capable, curious, caring, and confident learners..." In lieu of classes, students will spend the day with their Ac Lab participating in service work organized by grade level:
Seniors and juniors will host Central High's Special Olympics Soccer Tournament. Students will serve as buddies with our visiting athletes, as well as carnival workers, game officials, Disney characters, and team mascots.
Sophomores will participate in off campus service work at a variety of sites in the area.
Freshmen will engage in on campus service learning, which will include information sessions and hands-on projects with several local non-profit organizations.
All students will receive a D of S t-shirt, which they are encouraged to wear for the day. Dismissal will be at 01:30 pm, one hour earlier than normal. Day of Service is weather permitting; if significant rain is in the forecast, Central High will shift to a regular ALL Day schedule with dismissal at 2:30 pm, our regular time. In addition to this general information, grade level specific information will be emailed in the coming weeks.
