Join us for our annual Family Math Night on Thursday, March 14th from 5:30-7:00 for exciting math games, prizes, and snacks! Enter yourself in a chance to correctly guess the number of items AND WIN our Estimation Jar! Add to our Tessellation Quilt! Share with others What You Notice!

All Patriots that attend will receive engaging math games to take home and will be entered into a drawing for additional prizes! All of our teachers will be in attendance and look forward to seeing you there.

PLUS - our math night just happens to fall on National Pi Day! Can you guess what we might be serving as a snack?!

The Pear Blossom Mayor’s Cup is just around the corner! We are trying to get as many people signed up for Kennedy as possible. Staff, students, families, and anyone else can sign up for Kennedy and help us in the school competition. The top 3 schools will all receive cash prizes, as well as any school that has at least 20% participation. There is also a cash prize for the classroom with the most participation. Sign up and partake in this fun experience! Students who sign up will get the opportunity to hit Mr. Alonzo with water balloons.

Coming soon to Kennedy Elementary - the One School One Book event! Beginning in April, all Kennedy families will receive a copy of the same book to read at home as a family. At school, students will celebrate and explore the novel with their classmates.

As you can see, we are keeping the title of the book "under wraps" for the moment but look forward to sharing the title with you soon!

Let’s celebrate our classified staff for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our students and all of our staff here at Kennedy! We are so lucky to have the best classified staff around! From the moment our students walk through the doors until the last bell rings, their contributions ensure that our school runs smoothly and our students feel supported and cared for. Their behind-the-scenes efforts do not go unnoticed, and we want to thank them for all that they do to make our school a welcoming and environment where everyone belongs. We have a fun-filled week planned ahead to celebrate and honor our classified staff for the incredible work they do. If you see a classified staff member, please join us in celebrating them and tell them thank you!

We were excited to see that we heard from 86% of you! We are anxiously awaiting the data that will be arriving very soon to begin digging into your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to help move Kennedy forward!

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting another No Tardy Party for the month of March! We begin this coming Monday, March 4th, and run through the last day before Spring Break, Friday, March 22nd.
Students can earn their way into our No Tardy Party by being on time every day (no tardies) and being a regular attender. We understand that sicknesses and other situations arise, but students must attend consistently without any unexcused absences or tardies to be invited. Thank you for your support in getting your child to school on time every day!

4/10 Kindergarten Launch 4:00-6:00

• School starts at 7:50 am
• Tardies begin at 7:55 am
• This year, upon arrival, gates will open at 7:30 and students will either go into the cafeteria to eat breakfast or to our track to walk the track. Classroom doors will open at 7:50.

• Students who bring a beverage to school in the AM must go to the cafeteria to finish it. All beverages must be finished before going into the classroom.

• Parents Dropping off students- 7:45- in our circle drive. Please use both lanes. We will have staff to assist with students crossing over to the sidewalk. Please do not let students out in the “left” lane where they have to cross the “right” lane until staff are present. The circle drive is continually moving, if you need to come into the office please be sure to park in our parking lot. Please be aware dropping students off too early results in students standing around and waiting.

• Student cell phones must remain in their backpacks in the “silent mode”. Students are NOT to use their cell phone during the school day.

• Student dress- hats and hoods are not permitted indoors

• School ends at 2:35, Kindergarten students 2:30. Wednesday dismissal 1 pm
