Work hard, be kind and amazing things will happen!
Principal's Message
I hope you all had an amazing three day weekend! We are so thankful for any days when the sunshine comes through! Extra time to rest and relax as a family is always time well spent!
Friday was the end of the second trimester! Your student's report card is available to see in the parent portal. Please log in at your convenience to view the report. If you have difficulty please click here for helpful directions in English, Spanish, or Chinese.
Thank you to our PTA for sponsoring our Read-a-thon event! Our students will benefit greatly from their hard work and all of your generous donations. Salonee Wilanker & all of her dedicated parent helpers have done an incredible job organizing this event for Patterson!
The emergency order for Covid has been lifted and with this change, the district's position on when to keep your child home has also changed. From now on children should be in school unless they are vomiting, have diarrhea or a fever. As allergy season kicks in, please be sure to let us know if your child needs medication at school. Please use this link to get all necessary Health Forms. These forms will need to be completed and signed by the doctor so please try to get this completed early if your student suffers from severe allergies.
With Warm Regards,
Sincerely,
Kristin Dil
Principal

Middle School transition for the 2023-2024 school year.
Dear families,
The school sites in the American attendance area have been informed by the District that they are moving forward with the planned middle school transition for the 2023-2024 school year. This year’s 5th grade students will be moving to Thornton Middle School for 6th grade. More information will be shared later with families as it becomes available.

Thornton Middle School
Enrollment 23/24 School Year
Please watch for a “FALL 2023-2024 Reservation/Registration Form” to be mailed home soon for each student currently enrolled in TK – 6 th grades. The form will not be handed out to parents and serves 2 purposes: it reserves a spot for your child next year at Patterson and also fulfills the District’s mandated annual residency verification via USPS. Please don’t mistake the letter for junk mail and toss it out!
For students who will be moving on to Middle School next year, Patterson will collect the form and proofs and communicate with the Thornton Middle School to confirm a space will be reserved for next year. By submitting the required form and Residency Proofs by February 24th, your child will be reserved a space for next year.
*The forms must be returned to the school that your student currently is attending; if you have a student overloaded to another elementary school, please return it there.
