A Note From Mrs. Jackson

Dear Families,

We have had an excellent first week and really enjoyed getting to know your children! We appreciate your patience as we refine our dismissal procedures.

Here are some helpful tips to make our arrival and dismissal quicker for everyone:

Communicate the HCP drop-off and pick-up locations with any friends or family members that are assisting your with these times of day.
Have your yellow car rider tag clearly displayed on your dash or visor. These tags can be challenging to read if they are laying flat.
Use your blinker at dismissal. This helps Mrs. Bishop (our main traffic director) know which way you need to turn. When you are facing the school at the intersection into the parking lot, kindergarten pick-up is to the left and 1st/2nd is to the right.
Have your child practice loading and unloading; buckling and unbuckling independently. Adults should not get out of the car, as that creates a delay.
Load and unload in the our drop-off and pick-up lanes. It is strongly discouraged to park and walk up to drop-off/pick-up your child. Parking and walking up is reserved for our preschool students.
Leave the bus lane clear in the morning. Cars will not be allowed to turn right (west side of the building) in the morning. This side is reserved for buses.
Our dismissal time is about 10 minutes later this year. Please do not arrive before 2:30 because this blocks our buses from being able to get into our lot. If you do arrive early, you must park in the last row of the parking lot. If all spots are full, please turn around and park in the BTEC parking lot. Once all 10 buses have entered the parking lot, you can begin to line up on the road.
Drive slow, and pay close attention to cars both entering and exiting the parking lot. Our top priority is to keep everyone safe!
