Greetings, Viper Community!

We hope you had a lovely break. We look forward to this month of December as there are many exciting upcoming events!

As an IB school, a huge part of our identity is to "Think Globally. Act Locally." The Science of Service is highlighted in the graphic below. Your Vipers will have continuous conversations and opportunities to implement service as action during their time at VMMS.

Please join the VMMS school community in our Annual Holiday Service As Action: Adopt-A-Family. It's the perfect way to spread holiday cheer through the gift of giving to local families in need.

Please complete this FORM if you are interested in donating gift cards, food, clothing, and special wish list items for kids AND/OR adopting an entire family. We are in need of donations and donors. If you are able to be a donor for a family, please contact the office directly for details on sizes and a family wish list.

Please see the information that indicates the specific donation drives per village (Silver, Maroon, Gold). We also have a school-wide drive for non-perishable food items. We welcome any and all contributions.

Donations can be brought to the front office. Collections boxes will also be available in designated village classrooms per grade level.

The VMMS IB Expo is underway!

We have over 25 small "businesses" who will be represented during this annual event. Each business is hosted by one or more Vipers alongside family support! Vipers have been going through the Design Cycle with a entrepreneur mindset to create & develop their business. During the expo event they will sell their items to our school community and hopefully make a profit. Many of our students elect to donate their proceeds to local charities, which is the IB Way.

All are welcome to attend this Viper FAMILY & FRIENDS holiday event!

*If your Viper is hosting an IB Expo booth, please be reminded that on Monday, 12/2/24 @ 8:15 students are expected to present at the IB Expo Quality Control event. This is where VMMS staff will provide them with feedback on their product samples.

Workshop #2 is COMING on December 11! Please join us.

VMMS is very excited to engage our Viper Families in a NEW! Family Workshop Series focusing on restorative practices in the home and increasing communication between one another. Parents/Guardians and students will receive a special session and then come together with the presenters to engage and practice the tips/techniques shared.

Our Viper ASB will be participating in the City of Vista's Annual Holiday Parade. This group of Viper student leaders under the direction of Mrs. Eckle and Mrs. Dombrowski will design a themed float to represent our amazing VMMS Community. They began construction of their float over break. Can you guess which holiday movie our Vipers will be representing?

Our VMMS PTA has an opening in the PTA Executive Board for the VP of Programs. Please reach out if you are interested in supporting in this important position to our PTA President, Fletcher Wachleff at vistamagnetpta@gmail.com

In addition, our VMMS PTA will graciously host a Viper Staff Holiday Breakfast on December 6th @ 8:00. Please DONATE via this Sign Up Genius to bring breakfast goodies or VOLUNTEER for this fun and festive event! Thank you in advance!
