Food Service Updates
The grace period for students who received free or reduced price meals in the 2023-2024 school year expires 9/23/24. All students who have not completed a Free or Reduced Price Meal Application for the 2024-2025 school year will switch to full pay on 9/24/24. Student breakfast prices in all buildings are $1.50. Pk-6 lunch prices are $3.00. 7-12 lunch prices are $3.25. Meal money may be sent in with your student or deposited online in your student’s MyPaymentsPlus account. Free or Reduced Price Meal Applications may be submitted at any point in the school year, and may be found in your student’s Final Forms account. Paper applications are available by request. Requests may be emailed to robbinlo@japioneers.org.
Just a reminder, any meal money checks must be made out to Jonathan Alder Local Schools or JALSD. We are no longer able to accept checks made out to individual buildings or departments.
Want to make a little extra money while your child is in school? Wondering what all the hype about General Tso’s is? Longing for that old school pizza? Come join us! We are hiring kitchen substitutes! Kitchen subs can specify in which building(s) they want to work, pick up assignments that best fit their schedule, and deny assignments that don’t. Subbing in a kitchen is a great way to get involved in the district while picking up a little extra money (and maybe even some General Tso’s). Contact robbinlo@japioneers.org for more information.
Concession Stand Info
Our PTO needs you! Please considering signing up to help work in the concession stands during home football, cheer, and volleyball games. Concession stands simply aren’t possible without parent volunteers. Proceeds go back to our PTO to support our building!

Medications at School
Sometimes parents ask that school personnel administer medication to their child during the school day. When this is necessary, we require written permission and instructions from the parent and in some instances from the doctor. The required form must be completed and turned in to the junior high office with the medication to be administered.
