FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION for '24-25

For anyone interested in participating in a FALL sport in grades 7-12 MUST register through FAMILY ID and there a number items needed prior to being able to participate. The first few items necessary to participate include registering for the sport online as well as receiving the proper medical clearance to participate through the PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Exam DATED after May 1st, 2024.

Grades 9-12: High School:

(HS- Football Officially starts Aug 5th & All other Fall sports officially start Aug 12th)

This online form will need to be completed BEFORE the student-athlete is marked approved for FALL sport participation.

Please remember that if your child is planning to participate in a PIAA sport, he or she must have a completed Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Exam (doctor physical) prior to any type of participation on the first official day of the season (including any try-outs). Must have a PIAA format physical form completed and it MUST be dated after May 1st, 2024!

* Please note that the following sections are completed through the online registration process:

Section 1 - Personal and Emergency Information

Section 2 - Certification of Parent/Guardian

Section 3 - Understanding of Risk of Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury

Section 4 - Understanding of Sudden Cardiac Arrest Symptoms and Warning Signs

The following sections will need to be a printed copy for the doctor to review and sign:

Section 5 - Health History (completed for the doctors review at the appointment)

Section 6 - The Certification of Authorized Medical Examiner

Once the doctor has cleared the student-athlete and signed section 6, these forms will then be uploaded by the CASD into the student’s account in FAMILY ID (online registration platform).

In addition to the CIPPE online forms all other online forms will also be required which also includes the Raider Packet that contains our extra-curricular code of conduct and related policies.

Sign up for the mass physical event was offered numerous time and it was highly encouraged to utilize the opportunity for physicals during that time.

All FALL sports online registration and completed PIAA physical paperwork (with all signatures) MUST be completed and submitted no later than:

FOOTBALL Participants MUST register and have a physical By Thursday, August 1st, 2024!

ALL other FALL Sports MUST register and have a physical By Wednesday, August 7, 2024!

Any submissions after that could cause a delay in participation as our Athletic Trainers will need adequate time to review and approve each submission.

The first PIAA official practice date (including try outs) for HIGH SCHOOL is Monday, August 12, 2024. *** Football official practice date starts Heat Acclamation week Aug 5th!

PLEASE NOTE!!! Anyone with incomplete paperwork/registration will NOT be permitted to attend or be present for tryouts or team activities beginning MONDAY AUGUST 12th!!!

Charter School and/or Cyber Charter School Students Interested in Participating

Charter school and cyber charter students are only able to participate on one of our CASD teams if that sport is not offered at their current school. Coatesville Area School District uses an online student registration program that allows parents/guardians to input student information right from the comfort of their own home, office, public library, or any other web-hosted location. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment while maintaining consistent procedures and practices for enrolling our students. Once registration is complete and accepted, parents/guardians will receive an official confirmation from the district.
