Dear Global Impact Academy Families,

I want to personally thank each of you who came out to Curriculum Night this past Thursday. This was a great opportunity to learn more about your student's classes, the teacher's processes and procedures and any available resources that could aid in the success of your student. Thanks again for coming out after a long day of work.

As we prepare for next week's PSAT and SAT Testing, I wanted to include some helpful resources to ensure your student does well on these tests. Although they have no bearing on student's grades, we still want to ensure students perform to the best of their ability. For the PSAT, it could determine your student's AP Potential and could potentially qualify your student for scholarships. As we know, the SAT could determine a student's acceptance into a particular college. Please see below for helpful resources.

All 9th-11th grade students should come ready to take the PSAT on October 8th! The test is mandatory for 9th-11th graders this year. Please reference the email from Mr. Johnson with more information. Please see below for some helpful information regarding the PSAT.

Taking the PSAT/NMSQT can assist your child in the following ways:

- Qualifying for the National Merit® Scholarship Program, provided they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide.

- Gaining a clearer understanding of their skills and knowledge to identify areas for improvement.

- Practicing and preparing for the SAT®.

- Determining which AP® courses they are ready to undertake.

- Planning and financing their college education.

- Exploring personalized career insights based on their test scores.

Attention all Seniors: While 9th-11th graders will be taking the PSAT, we would still like for you all to come to school. We have a few special events lined up for you on Tuesday. Please RSVP at the link below. You will report to the Common's Makerspace at 9:00am.

All seniors who have signed up to take the SAT on Wednesday, October 9th, will receive information from Mr. Johnson later this week.

1. There is no one at the location to stop the traffic for them to cross the driving path.

2. This holds up other drivers that are trying to enter the campus.

A huge congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Brown and our Professional of the Year, Ms. Davis for being honored at today’s Fulton County Schools Legacy of Excellence Awards! We are also proud of our partner of the year, Mr. Sherlock Holmes and GA Power for all they do!

This past Tuesday was National Custodian Day! We are so thankful to have some of the hardest working people on our team! A huge thank you to Mr. Battle, Mr. Bass, and Ms. Stuckey for your continued dedication and commitment to GIA!
