Meet The Spartan Staff
Erica Benzie-Senior Staff Attendance Clerk
Written by: Alexandar Tran
Joining the Spartan family in 2016, Mrs. Benzie is one of the senior staff attendance clerks here at Villa Park High School. Graduating from Arcadia High School, Mrs. Benzi was heavily involved in cheerleading and theater. Mrs. Benzi’s passion for education extended well before her work with Villa Park, being previously employed as an Aide at Canyon Rim Elementary in Anaheim Hills. Throughout her seven-year tenure, Mrs. Benzi’s favorite Villa Park memory was working with her fellow colleague Mrs. Wilson, who left VPHS for North Carolina just this summer. One fun fact about Mrs. Benzie is that she’s a dog person, especially since she’s deathly afraid of cats.
Lynn Farley-World Language Teacher
Written by: Alexander Tran
Currently working for Villa Park High School as a Teacher Regular in Mandarin, Mrs. Farley has had a profound impact on many of her students. Born and raised in Taiwan, she originally attended high school where she was active in the school’s athletics, including basketball. Mrs. Farley later moved to California, where she soon attended and graduated from San Francisco State University as an Industrial Design major. Prior to working at VPHS, Mrs. Farley worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer, then joining the Spartan family in August as of last year. When asked about her favorite memory here at VPHS, it would have to be the on-campus, scavenger hunt that she held for her students. Outside of school, Mrs. Farley enjoys photography and eating Taiwanese food, especially oyster pancakes. She also has two grown children, a son who currently works for Rivian and a daughter who lives in Australia.
