November Newsletter from Lincoln!
Lincoln Families!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the fall weather as many of the leaves have changed and fallen. I returned back to Lincoln this week after my wife and I having our third child! I appreciate everyone's well-wishes while I was out.
Mrs. Thurber, along with the additional Lincoln administrators (Mrs. Roldan, Mrs, Sander, and Mrs. Jakimczyk) did a wonderful job supporting Lincoln and our students.
It has been wonderful to be back at Lincoln. It was another awesome week with our Veteran's Day Breakfast on Monday, a lunchroom reteaching, and a PBIS celebration on the horizon!
As week look ahead to the end of the month, we will have Parent Teacher Conferences on November 25th and 26th! We are looking forward to connecting with our families on those days in our partnership to continue to support all of our students!
If you need anything in the meantime, please let us know!
Go Lions,
Jack Olson

Important Reminders About Attendance
As we continue to move along in the 24-25 School Year in District 15, I want to highlight the importance of daily attendance in your child’s academic success.
Regular attendance is key to academic achievement and personal growth. Each day in District 15 offers new opportunities for learning, and we ask that you prioritize your child’s presence in school. Research shows that attendance directly impacts academic performance and helps students feel more connected to their school community.
This year, every District 15 school is encouraging all families to commit to missing 9 days or less for school success. Every lesson, discussion, and interaction contributes to your student’s progress, both academically and socially. Being in school not only fuels learning but also opens doors to extracurricular activities and social connections.
While we understand that occasional absences may happen due to illness or other circumstances, please ensure your student stays in communication with their teachers and promptly completes any missed work.
As the weather begins to change, and frigid temperatures are on the horizon, it is important to be mindful of ensuring are students stay healthy and attend school.
Thank you for your partnership in making this a successful year of growth and learning.
Lunchroom Reteach
This week we had a chance to do a lunchroom re-teaching at Lincoln for all of our grades. Our grades came down to the MPR two grade-levels as a time as we review expectations, entrance, and exit to ensure students are continuing to be Respectful, Responsible and Safe! In fact, this is a focus area this month of Lincoln that will culminate with a "Game Day" to celebrate our students doing a great job of following expectations!
Feel free to check with your student(s) and continue to encourage their positive behavior!
Kindness Club!
This year at Lincoln, many of our teachers are leading some fun and exciting clubs! As some of you may have heard, our Kindness Club has been a huge hit! Club sponsors Ms. Gustafson and Mrs. Pellegrine have 150 students that attend Kindness Club a month!
One of their first, fun acts of kindness involve asking for Donations for Veterans. Please see below for more information about Kindness Club request for donations.

eLearning Practice Day for LS on 11/19
In the event of inclement weather this year, our district will be conducting an E-Learning day during the 24-25 SY. This will be very similar to the process last year for practice and in the event of inclement weather.
At Lincoln, and on November 19th, we will be practicing an eLearning day at school. During this practice day, all students will practice joining their virtual Google Meet link in their classroom so that they have some experience with how they will access the Google Meet link in the event of an eLearning day.
At the end of the practice day, all students will bring home their devices, case, and charger including our K-2 students. All students will be expected to complete an online activity on their device at home to ensure that they are able to log in to their Chromebook at home and connect to their home WiFi. Here are directions for connecting the device to your home WiFi.
Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions.
