Erin’s Law Grades K-5
Please review this letter regarding SEL instruction being delivered to grades K-5. If you have any questions, reach out to assistant principal Joe O’Malley or SEL teacher Susie Kiefer.
Text Opt-in
On rare occasions, we would like to be able to reach our parents via text with short, time-sensitive messages. Examples of notifications include late buses, school closings, emergencies, etc.
In order to be able to receive text messages from us, you must opt-in. Please text YES to 87569 to enable your phone carrier to receive text messages from Oak Grove School.
Please note: text opt-in does not replace regular emails and/or phone calls; it simply adds another contact method for short, time-sensitive messages.
Parent Communication Tools
As a reminder, teachers utilize Seesaw and Google Classroom to communicate with families regularly. Please check for invitations in your email from your child’s teacher to ensure you do not miss any communications. In addition, parents of students in grades 6-8 can subscribe to PowerSchool alerts to keep up to date on assignments and grades inputted for their child (find directions here).
Event: Promoting Positive Student Behavior
OGS administration would like to invite all OGS families to a conversation to promote positive student behavior on October 24 at 6:30 pm in the Jr. High Cafeteria. Mr. O'Malley will share updates regarding OGS behavior practices and how families can support these practices to help students achieve maximum learning. Please respond here if you plan on attending. Reach out to Mr. O'Malley at omalley@ogschool.org with any questions or concerns.
The Great Body Shop Health Curriculum
