2025 School Climate Survey

Lunn Rd. Arrival & Dismissal Safety Procedures & Reminders
Drop Off & Pick Up Times
Please be mindful that our drop off and pick up times are as follows:
AM Session: 8:00am-10:35am
PM Session: 11:25am-2:00pm
Please ensure you are already in the car line ready at these times. We have had a lot of late arrivals and late pickups. This is disruptive to our school routine and interferes with staff lunch times and meetings. Please be on time. We appreciate your cooperation!
Safety Reminders & Procedures
Following the correct procedures of our car line are crucial to the safety of our staff, students, and you! Be mindful that the child in the car in front of you may take longer to exit their vehicle. Unless you are waved on by a staff member, you must WAIT in the line until the car in front of you move forwards. Please do not pass cars, cut off cars while entering the car line ( you must follow the arrows and travel all the way to the end of the car line), or speed. The safety of everyone is our top priority!
If you need to buckle your child into their car seat, you must pull into a parking space to the left of the car line. DO NOT PULL FORWARD AND STOP. This has potential to back up the car line and forces other cars to drive around you!
Financial Fast Facts From Our SCS Treasurer
As part of the District's Strategic Plan, SCS Treasurer George Anagnostou has been releasing monthly Financial Fast Facts.

Mustang Spotlight
Miss Julie Fadenholz is a School Psychologist at Chapman Elementary and our Early Learning Preschool. Miss Fadenholz has worked in our District for four years and has also been part of the staff at Surrarrer Elementary and Strongsville High School. Her undergraduate degree is from Ohio University and she also earned her graduate degree from John Carroll University.
“My favorite part of working with our students is forming positive relationships with them and helping each student realize their potential to achieve their goals. Every child has a chance to make a difference in the world, and I feel so honored to be a part of their journey in helping them embrace their individual strengths. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing a student overcome a challenge they have been enduring, and I strive to make my office a comfortable place for all students to visit if they need support with something.”
“The best part of being a School Psychologist is seeing students grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. I really enjoy painting a portrait of a student for the school team by reflecting on their background history, intervention progress, and information provided by their teachers. At Strongsville City Schools, we are fortunate to have teachers who are knowledgeable and passionate about providing interventions to students both behaviorally and academically. Through the MTSS process, we can track student progress and determine if a strategy is effective in helping a student make progress toward a learning goal. I love the problem-solving aspect of my job when it comes to interpreting student intervention data and determining the effectiveness of an intervention for a student. The best days at work occur when we have a team meeting, and a parent can clearly see that their child is making gains either academically or behaviorally on a skill that may have previously been considered unattainable. It truly does take a village to raise children, and I feel so lucky to have a voice at the table when it comes to making decisions for our students.”
Thank you Miss Fadenholz for being a part of the positive growth and development of our students and Chapman and at the Preschool! #ModelMustang

Name Puzzle
Make a name puzzle for your child. Write her name on a piece of paper and cut it apart. Use that to work on letters and words. If your child is already adept at writing and spelling their first name, create a name puzzle for their last name!
